Dear members of TSA
It is my unique privilege to thank everyone for their help and dedication for making our Annual Turkish Culture Night a fabulous evening. CONGRATULATIONS, you made us proud again. The night left an excellent impression on the people who joined our festivities.
It was great.
My heartiest thanks to the officers of the association for their effort: Gulver Karamemis, Ahu Demir, Erdem Cicek, Ilknur Otayer, Aslihan Karatas, Bertan Kaynatma and especially Altan Ozler. We owe all of you a lot! You did marvelous job all year around.
We were honored to have Turkish Consulate General and his wife from NY, Mr. and Mrs. Mehmet Samsar, consul Mr. Ahmet Sen, Commercial's attach?? Mr. Mehmet Erdem and former President of Assembly of Turkish American Association, Mr. And Mrs. Vural Cengiz with us. Again, I'd like to sincerely thank Erdem one more time for his effort in inviting our honorable guests.
Also, special thanks to the many other people, who helped us to make tonight's event possible. It is hard to mention individuals names, many people helped with decorating and serving the food. As always, we are grateful to the families and the individuals who made significant monetary contributions this year.
Million thanks to Margaret and Stefan for their wonderful and energetic folk dancing. I think they were the highlight of the evening. Also, many thanks to the musician Yunus Cevik from Miami and to our cameraman Nuri Yaylali.
On this occasion, I'd like to recognize, Esen Yuksel for receiving a prestigious award from the University of Florida this year. I had nominated her for one of the Women's History Month Awards. She was chosen by a committee from an amazing group of women. I am so happy for her.
Congratulations and thanks again, for the outstanding job of bringing a little bit of Turkey to Gainesville this year. I am sure we will have many more successful events in Gainesville in the future.
